It’s Moving Day!

I wrote this post Thursday night while I steal the neighbour’s Wi-Fi connection. Kyle’s dismantled his computer and everything is unplugged except for my computer. I still need me some Internet at least until I get the motivation to pack up the last few things later on.

So I was suppose to get the keys to the place yesterday afternoon but the girl who be bought the townhouse from hadn’t received her money from the bank. She figured it would get to her by the end of the day, but alas it did not. Damn! So now I have to wait until some unknown time today to get the keys. Frustrating! I’m wishing I had taken the day off of Job #2 because it would make moving so much easier.

Hopefully all goes well with the Shaw Cable man this afternoon at the new place and we’ll have Internet all hooked up and ready to go. I’m planning a video tour of the place just for the blog too in the next couple weeks once boxes are unpacked and we’re a little more organized. (And when I have time! The freelance stories are still needing to be finished.)

Today is probably one of the happiest days of my life thus far. I still can’t believe we finally did it :)

Tomorrow is the Day

I move tomorrow! Which means … OMG! I’m beyond excited, so much to the point where it’s hard for me to sleep. I could use that lack of a desire to sleep to do productive things like working on my freelance stories that are due up in a couple weeks, but blogging is much more fun! I’m even possibly picking up the keys today at Noon. WOOOO!

I’m at the point with packing where I just can’t do anymore. Everything from here on out is going to be winged. (Wung?) The fantastic thing is that we’re getting out cable and internet hooked up tomorrow afternoon so Kyle and I won’t have to live for very long without our beloved digital cable and Interwebs. (as sad as that may sound).

On a completely different note, I have recently been informed that for the wedding that I am to be a bridesmaid in next August, we are going to be wearing long, red dresses. With gloves. Oh the humanity! Okay, the wedding colours are red and white, and I’m okay with wearing a short red with white dress, but a long one? With elbow-length gloves? IN THE SUMMER HEAT??? It’s a good thing I love the bride! And maybe I’ll get lucky and it will be freezing cold up north when it comes time for the wedding.

Okay, I’m done now. Oh, actually, you should probably go cheer Chelsea on since she’s due to have her baby today (if she hasn’t already had him by the time this is posted!)

Almost There

We have a week to go before we move. A week! That’s 7 days! *insert happy dance here* We visit the Notary on Tuesday to sign all the paperwork. Hopefully it doesn’t take long and Kyle and I will be able to have a tasty lunch downtown before I have to work. We’ll see!

I’m more or less all packed. All that’s left to go are a few kitchen things and our clothes. Our moving schedule is going to go something like this:

Day 1/Possession Day: Pick up keys in the morning, move some stuff over in my car, leave Kyle a key, go to work, come home from work, move the essentials (kitchen, clothes, bathroom stuff), sleep at new house! We’re also having the cable/Internet installed the same day too, which is pretty exciting.

Day 2: Move all the big stuff. The beds, couch, TV and heavy stuff will be moved in. This will be the day were I just stay out of the way and let Kyle, his uncle, and his mom’s boyfriend move stuff. I’m just a weak little girl after all!

Day 3: Unpack boxes! I have to work at 5pm, so hopefully we can get it all done before then!

I’m soooooo looking forward to it all!
