Hi there! I’m Kara – Loving mommy to a two beautiful little girls, Isla and Norah, wife to an amazing husband named Kyle, and dog-momma to two furballs, Campbell (an energetic-yet-loving pit bull), and Sam (a rambunctious German Shepherd). I love coffee, reading, and food, but not necessarily in that order.

I live in British Columbia, Canada and wouldn’t have it any other way. I grew up in a small town (around 1,800 people) and it holds a special place in my heart. My husband and I met there when we were just 6 years old and started dating 10 years later. Eight years after that (in 2011) we finally got married and the rest is history! In June 2012 we welcomed Isla to the world, and almost exactly three years later, Norah graced us with her presence.

I have a degree in journalism and I love to keep my mind flowing by writing, be it by blogging (obviously), freelancing, or whatever is thrown my way. I’m also working on completing my Administrative Assistant certificate.

I enjoy reading the odd book while trying not to judge it by its cover, and whipping up yummy food in the kitchen. I’m no gourmet chef, but my husband doesn’t complain.

You’ll find a lot of posts about being a mom and wife on my blog, but you can expect random bits of the rest of my live as well. I’m also not an expert on any subject, but I know a thing or two about wedding planning, tattoos, buying houses, and babies.
