Reading // The Rosie Effect by Graeme Simsion. I’m about half-way through and I’m enjoying it quite a bit!
Watching // Summer TV series that are winding up, including So You Think You Can Dance (I love all the finalists and can’t pick a pony!), Masterchef (Go Derrick!), and a whole bunch of The Incredible Dr. Pol, which Isla and I have recently discovered. I thought she’d be squeamish, but she now asks to watch Dr. Pol and understands that animals get sick just like humans.
Listening to // “Hooked on a Feeling.” Actually, it’s just kind of stuck in my head because of a baseball commercial, and it really just reminds me of the Dancing Baby:
Anyone remember when that first went viral?? Oh, how far we’ve come …
Loving // Watching Norah grow! Even though I’ve “done it all” with Isla already, it’s still amazing to see Norah go through life’s little milestones.

Just a little “Then & Now” shot!
Thinking // About how on earth I’m going to get started on my Couch to 5K training. Unless I wake up at 4 in the morning or start at 10 p.m., it’s going to be tough to find the time to do it. I used to go for walks all the time when Isla was small enough to sit in the stroller, but now that she’s bigger and Norah is here, it’s tough to escape the house. I’ll figure it out, I’m sure, but the motivation certainly isn’t there.
Needing // Clothes. As materialistic as it may sound, my wardrobe (I feel) is seriously lacking. Some retail therapy is definitely in the near future!
Anticipating // Isla’s entry into the next level of dance class next weekend. The classes are an hour long and she’s been begging to go back to class for about a month now!
Looking forward to // More amazing fall weather. I’m loving that I can wear jeans, flip flops and short-sleeved shirts. Some of the trees in my neighbourhood are already having their leaves change colours. I’m fairly certain fall is my favourite season!
(Fun fall fact: I absolutely do not like pumpkin spice lattes but I love pumpkin pie with ALL THE WHIPPED CREAM.)
What’s your favourite season?
And for those who have kids and run – How do you find time?
