1.  Amber has asked me: “What was your favourite moment from your wedding day and if you would’ve changed anything at all?”

I honestly have no idea if there is one specific moment that I loved the most because it was all so amazing. If I had to pick just one, it would be meeting Kyle and the end of the aisle and finally being able to see him on our wedding day. I think at that moment we were both the happiest we have ever been.

And as far as changing anything, I don’t think I would’ve changed a thing. Everything was perfect and I haven’t got a single complaint. Even the weather was gorgeous!

2. We crammed about 25 people into our tiny little townhouse living room for our gift opening the day after the wedding. Let’s just say the air conditioning was cranked and we were all very cozy!

3. I was so sad to see most of our wedding party go home on Sunday. We had such a great time with all of them! It’s a good thing I held a couple of jackets hostage though so they have to come back and see me. Ha! I’m cleaver like that.

4. I am noticing this is turning into a wedding Seven Quick Takes. Let me re-route my train of thought: I am FINALLY leaving Job #2 for good at the end of the month. Please note the “for good” part. I’ve quit and come back to this job twice and I swear I’m not going back to it again. I love my co-workers there, but the work pains me in a way that cannot be described. Go me! Seriously – give me a high five if you see me.

5. The polish from my pedicure has survived a week without being chipped. What kind of super-powered polish did that woman use?! Too bad my fingernails are all skanky looking. Oh well, can’t have everything, right?

6. Kyle and I set up our new patio set in the blistering sun. Probably a bad idea. We got 90% of it put together and I thought I was going to pass out. It looks amazing though!

7. I’m really hoping the Vancouver Canucks hike up their hockey socks and get back into the stinkin’ game. We are soooo winning the Cup this year! Let’s Ruin the Bruins! (Cheesy, I know, but that seems to be the theme of this year’s playoffs. 3venge? Blackhawk Down? No Way Jose? You get my point) But – Go Canucks Go!

 1. Kyle and I got our Marriage License yesterday. Oh my jeebus, it’s getting real! Especially when the woman at Service BC told me which paperwork I needed to bring to them to change my name. Holy moly! I’m now all excited/stressed/nervous even more!

2. My mom and I went and watched Water for Elephants last night. I enjoyed the movie, but I think I enjoyed the book more. (Isn’t that always the case though?) But, overall, I think it was a good adaptation of the book. I’m okay with the fact that the left out Uncle Al (I think that was his name?) and I liked that they left Barbara in.

On a random side note to being at the movies with my mom: I had a huge pang of anxiety/panic and felt like I needed to go home and BE at home, even though Kyle wasn’t home and nothing was wrong. It was weird since I’ve never had that kind of an anxiety attack before. Anyway, I got through the movie and rushed home, and of course, Daphne greeted me as always with her big, dumb smile and all was well again.

3. My birthday is tomorrow. 25! I’m getting so old. Seriously. Quarter Centennial!

4. It’s been determined that I cannot BBQ to save my life. For realz. I think there’s a reason why the grill is a man’s domain. Last week I set the thing ablaze cooking steaks. Last night it was hamburgers. Earlier this spring it was ribs. I just can’t get the hang of it. Probably because there’s fire. (I hate fire) And it’s needy and demands attention. I’m good at casseroles that you toss in the oven for 30 minutes. Oh well.

5. I picked up some quick & dirty freelance work short notice, which I thought was going to be a manageable 3 or 4 stories which turned into 7 stories. I panicked, already stressed about wedding shiz, and got my list cut down to 3 stories. Whew. And THANK YOU to the lovely fellow freelance who picked up my slack. (You know who you are!) I owe you! :) My brain is so frazzled.

6. I’ve discovered that I’ve stopped myself from making this a wedding themed Seven Quick Takes at least a 1/2 dozen times now. My brain hurts.

7. I haven’t been to the gym in over a month. Whoops. I need to get my butt back in gear. We’ll see how that pans out. Maybe after the wedding. I just don’t have the energy to go right now. I work my ass off worrying about wedding stuff that I’m exhausted by the end of the day. I’ll get back in the gym to fight off that wedding “bliss” weight I’ve heard oh-so-much about.

Happy Friday everyone! What are some of your “takes”?

1. I have been under the weather for the past 10 days, which is ridiculous. It started with a sore throat, turned into a sore, dry throat, and is now a dry throat with a ridiculous cough and a lost voice. It’s rough. I wake up in the morning, hack out my lungs, pop cold meds, continue my day feeling relatively OK, and then cough all night long. Poor Kyle has probably got as much sleep as I have, which isn’t much. He’s a trooper though; maybe I should marry him ;)

2. My wedding is a little less than two months away and I’m panicking just a little bit now! I went to the seamstress on Monday to have my dress shortened and I’m so nervous! Damn my shortness! It’ll turn out just fine, right? RIGHT! My aunt also emailed photos of a mock bouquet she made up for me … I love it! I can’t wait for my pretty flowers :)

3. My mom and I are heading to Kelowna tomorrow for some Spring/Summer/Wedding shopping! I’m pretty excited about it, despite my sickness. She wants to find something to wear to my wedding and I want to freshen up my work clothes wardrobe and find something to wear for the wedding rehearsal.

4. Rootbeer flavoured cupcakes from my favourite cupcake shop are AMAZING. Just sayin’.

5. Looking at the search terms that have brought people to my blog are funny and sometimes confusing. Today’s (Thursday) search terms are: strong arms, greek stombolopolous, put on 5 pounds in one day?, and fashion bridal hair jewlery 2011. Greek Stombolopolous? Weird …

6. I’m not so keen on the fact that there will be two, maybe three, elections this year. (Municipal, Federal, and possibly Provincial) Elections Canada called me up the other day to see if I wanted to work the polling station for the Federal Election day, but I passed. It’s on a Monday and I don’t want to take time off work since I’m taking a bunch off for the wedding and B’s wedding in August. Plus it’s a long, boring day, especially when you’re partnered with someone who’s equally boring. And a newbie. They seem to panic a lot. lol

7. Daphne seems to like to play and act crazy first thing in the morning when I wake up, pre-coffee. While I eat breakfast she squeaks her squeaky toy until I throw it for her. Not cool when my sinuses are pounding, but it’s a little cute. This is why I put up with it.
