I’m a Slacker

Hey You! Did you enter my super awesome giveaway yet? You probably should. Hey Look! I’ll even provide a quick & dirty link to it right here. Check it out, you won’t be sorry!

Now back to your regular programming:

I was feeling lazy/had a bad case of writer’s block last night and didn’t write up a blog post for today.  So, for today, I’m just going to pose to you this question, brought to you by Plinky.com.

“Describe the worst teacher you ever had.”

For me, university-wise, it’s a toss up between my 2nd year PoliSci prof. and one of my journalism teachers. The PoliSci prof. once made a girl cry (Melissa probably knows which teacher I’m talking about) and one of my journalism instructors was OBSESSED with apes and monkeys. (Melissa and Amber know who this is!)

That is all! I’d have something better for you, but I got called into work early and don’t have time to write anything good! In the meantime, keep your fingers crossed for me around 3:00p.m. because that’s when Kyle’s going to have the home inspection done on our new place. Once that’s done and approved, we’re good! Yay!

It’s almost the weekend! :D

  1. Ha! In 3rd year I actually learned a lot from said teacher. Fourth year? I didn’t learn anything from ANY of them. I’d say that 3 of the 4 profs I had in J-school (can you guess who I’m NOT counting in there) were 3 of the worst teachers I’ve EVER had in my ENTIRE academic career!

Maybe that’s just because it’s so fresh in my mind though :)

  2. The worst teacher I ever had was probably my American History teacher in Grade 11. He wasn’t even supposed to teach that class, he just got stuck into it at the last minute. So he hadn’t even read the text for the class and knew very little about American History. He was the most boring, unimaginative, sad little creature, and whenever I saw him lecturing in front of the class, I wanted to laugh.

  3. I still remember said prof being obsessed with orangutans and apes and the Julia Roberts/Borneo tape. He’ll be torturing j-schooler for years with that. Glad to see some things never change.
