Ten on Tuesday

1. If you could watch only one movie for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Anything with Anne Hathaway. Probably The Devil Wears Prada. Or maybe Tombstone. Actually, I have no idea!

2. Let’s say someone wrote a screenplay about you; what actor/actress would you choose to play you and why?

I hate questions like this, only because I hate picking gorgeous actresses to play myself. So, I’ll go with Bai Ling. Asian AND crazy.

3. What’s the first movie you remember seeing in theaters?

Aladin! I’m pretty sure I ditched a birthday party to go watch it in the theater with my mom.

4. Did you ever make out at the back of a movie theater in middle school/high school?

No, because we didn’t have a theatre in my hometown and you had to drive an hour to watch a movie. Total waste of time and money to make out through it.

5. Are you a Netflix-er, Blockbuster-er or a Redbox-er? (Or none of the above?)

I suppose I’m a Blockbuster-er, if that means I rent movies. I also watch a lot of Video on Demand – probably the next best thing to going out and renting the actual movie.

6. Name one actor/actress who you would give anything to have a dinner date with.

I have no idea. I’d say Jason Statham but it would just be an awkward mess. Let’s go with Morgan Freeman, then he could narrate for me.

7. What’s the worst movie you’ve ever seen?

Seven Years in Tibet, but I was in Grade 6 when we watched it and it wasn’t quite for our age demographic, lol

8. Do you sneak snacks into the theater when you go?

Only when I’m feeling cheap, and it’s usually only a little bag of candy or something. And it’s ALWAYS something quiet, lol.

9. Movie theater popcorn: love or hate it?

LOVE IT, even though it makes me feel sick 90% of the time.

10. What is the all-time best Disney movie in your opinion?

Probably the Lion King. Runner-up is 101 Dalmatians.

1. What is the weather like in your city today?

It’s a mixed bag in Kamloops today! It was cloudy and a little windy when I first woke up, then it turned a little rainy, and now it’s sunny/cloudy. Ah, the joys of spring in Canada.

2. Do you like the zoo?

I haven’t been in AGES, but I love it! Where else do you get to see animals from far away places?

3. Do you eat coconut?

It’s not my favourite flavour, but I eat it sometimes, usually if it’s baked into something. If I have a choice, I pick something different though.

4. Have you ever hammered a nail? Are you good at it?

I have indeed. I wouldn’t call myself a pro, but I can hang a picture on the wall just fine. Swinging a sledgehammer, however, is a totally different story. “Laughable” is what Kyle would describe it as.

5. Does your family have a vacation destination that you visit often?

We don’t, but I’m okay with th.at for now. I’d love property on a lake someday, even it’s a cozy little cabin.

6. How many pillows do you sleep with?

One, and I only use just a little section of it, lol. I don’t understand people who need more than two pillows!

7. What’s the first thing you do when you wake up?

Besides assassinating the alarm clock, usually I go pee, grab my newspaper and let the dog out.

8. Will you send your kids to summer camp?

If there’s one available, yes. I went to a science camp for a week and it was a lot of fun! I think it’s good for both the parents and the kids. Break from kids AND they get to learn. Woo!

9. What do you put in your baked potatoes?

Butter, sour cream, bacon bits and chives (when I have them). Delicious!

10. Did you take swimming lessons as a kid?

I did. I took them until I was in Grade 5 I think and then I lost interest. You can only tread water so many times before it gets boring. I’m glad I just know how to swim.

Ten on Tuesday

1. How many blogs do you read every day and what are they? (I’m talking the ones you NEVER miss)

According to Google Reader, I’m subscribed to 113 different blogs/feeds, but I’m more than certain that they don’t all update on a daily basis. My “must read right away” ones are: Girl with the Red Hair, I Has Good Grammar, Roots & Rings (duh), A Little Pink in the Cornfields, Scattered Words, Hyperbole and a Half, and Craving Cupcakes. I’m pretty sure I’m missing some. No, actually, I’m positive I’m missing some.

2. How many “best friends” do you have? Do you have different “besties” for different areas of your life?

I would say I have one best friend and two or three extremely close friends, and I definitely have different “besties” (I totally just typed that as “Beasties”) for different areas of my life. I have my work BFF’s, my school BFF’s and life BFF’s. They intertwine more often than not, but sometimes one friend understands more than another.

3. What’s your daily make up routine?

I would hardly call it a routine, but it goes moisturizer, cover-up, eyelash curler, mascara. That’s it. Sometimes I’ll put eye shadow on, but rarely.

4. What is your ideal girl’s night?

Dancing. I love me some dancing.

5. Do you keep up with your nails/toenails or are they au natural?

I try to keep up with them but sometimes I get lazy and don’t bother repainting. In the summer they’re always painted though.

6. What’s your best roommate story (assuming you had a roommate at some point in your life)?

I’m sure I’ve mentioned it before, but Kyle and our old roommate once decided that if there was a zombie apocalypse and it came down to having to eat someone in order to survive, I’d be the one that they’d eat. Apparently I’m not too fatty but not too muscular. Great. Also – I once piggy-backed said roommate up some stairs. I guess I have super powers when I’m drunk.

7. What’s your “go to” outfit that you wear more than anything else?

Jeans and a lululemon hoodie. I could live in them. I’m all about comfort. Stacy and Clinton from “What Not to Wear” are probably cringing at my use of the word “comfy.” Ha!

8. Do you have a beauty secret?

Don’t wear horizontal stripes. And always have a good, supportive bra. Do those count?

9. Did you read Seventeen magazine growing up?

Haha, yes! I spent way too much money on teen magazines. Now I spend way too much money on Cosmo magazines. Oh well. At least I’ve progressed.

10. How did you learn to put on makeup?

Self-taught. This is why I hardly wear any.
