Ten on Tuesday!

Here’s another edition of Ten on Tuesday, brought to you by Roots and Rings!

1. Quick! Zombies are coming!! What do you do?

Grab my guns (yes, I have guns!) and head to Wal-Mart, but first stopping at Wholesale Sports to pick up more ammo and guns.

2. Whew, that was a close one. …I think your phone is ringing. Oh, it’s your best friend! She thinks she’s been bitten by a zombie. What advice do you give her?

Enjoy life while you can! Really, if you’ve been bitten, you’re SOL. Sorry :(

3. You realize it’s time to leave your current location because it’s clearly not safe anymore. Are you going to move at night or day? Defend your reasoning.

Hmm … probably at night. We’d wear dark clothes and sneak our way through the night to a new location.

4. During your relocation, you come across a weapon superstore. My, that’s convenient. What kind of weaponry do you choose?

Well, since I knew to stop on my way to my first location, I would’ve picked up a semi-auto shotgun with #3 buckshot shells. Yep, sounds good to me! And I’d pick up a semi-auto handgun for close-range combat just to be sure.

5. As you leave, an old lady on the side of the street begs you to help her. Do you? Why or why not?

I make her get naked to check for bite marks and if she’s clean, I’d help her in anyway I can. I’d have to warn her though that it’s “Every man for themselves.” Sorry Grandma!

6. Good choice, you’re clearly a good person to have around in a zombie apocalypse. Oh hey, there’s a wifi signal here! You can’t stay long but this is your chance to gather some intel on the current situation. What’s the first website you check?

The message boards on All Things Zombie.

7. SHH! What was that noise?!

Just Tallahassee looking for some Twinkies. No biggie.

8. I think it’s time to get out of here. I hope you have a plan. Where are you going now?

A building with only two doors (Entrance and Emergency Exit) and that’s easy to barricade.

9. Wait a minute, that looks like a bite mark on your arm… You may be infected too! Will you tell other people?

Naw.

10. How does this story end?

I ask to see everyone’s guns and then bite them all, right before revealing that I’m 30 seconds away from becoming a zombie. Sorry guy! Better luck next time!

Annnnd, for the record, I’m pretty sure I’ll survive just fine considering we own this book:

Happy zombie hunting! Wanna be on my team?

Ten on Tuesday

Here’s another edition of Ten on Tuesday, brought to you by Roots and Rings!

1. Of your current hobbies, which would you choose to spend more time, money, and effort on? Why?

Photography. I love taking photos and I’d really love to have a great digital SRL one of these days. I love taking artsy photos and want to get good at it.

2. List the two other hobbies/habitual activies (not chores) besides the one listed above that you regularly do now and didn’t choose in question one.

Blogging and working out!

3. Why are you spending time on the above two hobbies/habitual activies at all if you really wanted to spend your time on the first one you chose?  …or to put it another way, what are these two hobbies/habitual activities fullfilling that the first one doesn’t if you don’t want to put all your effort into the first hobby?

My creativeness and thoughts and my better health and well being. I can afford a once-a-month gym payment more than dropping $500+ all at once on a camera right now.

4. Ready John 3:16 in the bible… In what way does this passage affect you?  What are your feelings towards these words, positively or negatively?

First, I had to Google the verse. I don’t really have any feelings towards this passage, but I believe you can have everlasting life if you don’t believe in God. I don’t know … Religion is a subject I don’t think about too often.

5. M&M’s: nuts, no nuts, or peanut butter?

Personally, I like peanut M&M’s! Mmm.

6. Putting away the feeling of pride being a bad thing; what secretly/openly are you proud about yourself?

Openly, for graduating university and getting a degree. Secretly, for learning how to say “No” when my other job wants me to work. It’s mentally draining and if I’m not scheduled to work I should be allowed to say “No” to a shift if it’s my day off.

7. Given one room in the house to do with what you want, not changing the actual size of the room and with all the money you would need, what would you do, and be specific?  (this can range from bouncy floor, walls & ceilings; to hard wood floor with wood paneling and purple ceiling with a chair; to nothing)

My current living room is horrid. I’d looooove new furniture complete with a Lay-Z-Boy for Kyle, a chaise for moi and a big comfy sofa for guests. I’d get pro’s to redo the floors and add a huge bookshelf for all my books and treasures. I’d re-paint the walls and have an awesome accent wall that’s an amazing colour. I’d buy chic lighting and a new computer desk for Kyle. I could write an essay on how I’d design my living room and a book on how I’d design my house!

8. What’s the next movie you’re going to see?  Not what you’d LIKE to GO see, but the next movie you realistically are going to watch.

The Bounty Hunter with Gerard Butler and Jennifer Aniston. Kyle totally suggested it, so I’m stoked!

9. Use the keyboard only and make your best smiley/funny/cool face –> like this! 8^)

O_o    That’s all I got. That or    >_<

10. What makes you cry? What makes you pray? What makes you laugh?

Depending on my hormones for the week, everything from a dog dying to a mom reuniting with her kids could make me cry. I don’t pray, but I hope for many things. And everything can make me laugh. I quite enjoy a good chuckle.

What about you?

And go say “Congrats” to John over at Fatherhoody, who welcomed his new son into the world on March 7!

Ten on Tuesday

Here’s another edition of Ten on Tuesday, brought to you by Roots and Rings!

1. If you were given an hour to use a $200 Amazon gift card, what would you buy?

Books, of course! I’d stock up on novels I’ve been wanting to buy, and maybe kids’ books for the future. (No, I’m not expecting!)

2. Are there any fairly common foods that you’ve never had?

Indian cuisine! However, this shall be remedied on Thursday when I have din-din with Melissa. (Expect Friday Food Adventures this week!)

3. What was your favourite way to use your imagination as a kid?

I loooooved to play with Lego and Tinker Toys.

4. What’s your favourite state? Why?

California – because that’s where the oranges in my OJ come from … :P To be honest, I don’t have a favourite state! I’m not even from the States!

5. If it was our culture to have our parents choose our spouses, do you think yours would make a good choice?

I would hope so, but it’s hard to say for sure. I could see my mom picking someone clean-cut (an accountant maybe?) and my dad picking someone out of the box.

6. What’s your favourite herb?

Dill! Loooove it. Or is garlic an herb? Because I love that one too.

7. If you could have dinner with one celebrity, who would you choose?

Jason Statham, so I could stare at him from across the table. Mmmm …

Image found here

8. What’s your favourite Disney movie?

My #1 pick is 101 Dalmatians and my #2 pick is The Little Mermaid, followed by The Lion King.

9. If you had to listen to the same song over and over for 24 hours, what song would you choose?

Right now, I think it would have to be k.d. Lang’s version of Hallelujah. She did such a beautiful job during the Olympic Opening Ceremonies, it’s been stuck in my head ever since!

10. How do you order your steak?

Medium-rare! Mmm …
