1. What are 3 things that are on your Christmas wishlist?
That is a very good question. There isn’t much on my wishlist, really. At least nothing that’s reasonably affordable. Three things that I would loooove to have are: bedroom furniture, the Nikkor AF-S 50mm f1.4/G lens, and a new car. Ridiculous, no? But, I’ll also settle for bookstore gift cards, pajamas, and a flatting iron.

2. What’s your favourite Christmas song?
“Baby, It’s Cold Outside” or anything Christmassy that Michael Buble sings!

3. Do you have a favorite band or singer that sings it especially awesome?
I just heard Zooey Deschanel singing “Baby, It’s Cold Outside” and looooved it. I may have to track it down on iTunes, actually.

4. Have you heard about the website goodreads?
I have, and I’m a member, but I’m not exactly active on it. I don’t really know how it works, to be honest.

5. What are 3 books you want to read?
I really have no idea what I want to read next! I’ll happily take suggestions though. I haven’t been to the bookstore in ages!

6. Do you hunt deer?
Yes and no. I’ve gone hunting for deer but I haven’t actually shot a deer (we got skunked both times we went). So, yes, I’ve hunted for deer but I haven’t been successful.

7. Have you started Christmas shopping? Are you completely finished?
Yes I have and no I am not! We still have a couple more people to buy for, which I hope to get done this week!

8. Did you shop on Black Friday? What was the best deal you got?
We don’t have Black Friday in Canada! Our big “sale” day is Boxing Day, (the day after Christmas) and I rarely ever go out. It’s just too crazy for me! We have done online Boxing Day shopping though. At least I can sit at home and browse websites and buy if I like. (Although the checkouts are always slow because even the online stores are busy!)

9. What’s one holiday tradition your family has?
We don’t have any family traditions, although Kyle and I want to start watching Christmas movies all night and then going to Walmart at 2 a.m. (It’s open 24hrs starting Dec.1!) The trick is to find the Christmas movies we want to watch. We may just get a Netflix subscription.

10. How many blogs do you read? Do you subscribe/unsubscribe often or do you purge every once in a while?
I’m too lazy to count how many blogs I’m following, but every once in a while I’ll purge and clean out some of the blogs that haven’t updated in a while. I haven’t added any new ones to my reader recently though!

Any holiday movie suggestions for me? (I did Tweet this on Sunday)
Let’s get interesting: What’s your view on hunting?

New house photos tomorrow!

1. Do you wear glasses, contacts, or are you one of those perfect eyed people?
I wear glasses, although I’m thinking I’m going to switch over to contacts soon. I can’t go an hour without smudging my glasses up with fingerprints. I miss being a perfect-eyed person :(

2. What is the next item you are going to purchase?
Probably furniture. Or Christmas decorations (like a tree or garland for the mantle).

3. Have you ever watched Judge Judy or any other real court show?
I think I have accidentally. I really don’t understand them.

4. How do you feel about fake nails?
I really don’t like them. They kind of creep me out a little bit. Actually, long nails in general creep me out. Actually, actually – I hate fingernails in general. At least other people’s fingernails.

5. What is your favourite sport to watch?
Definitely hockey, followed by MMA. Nothing’s wrong with getting a little bloody ;)

6. If you could create your own Ben & Jerry’s ice cream flavor, what would it be and what would it be named?
I am terribly noncreative when it comes to name giving. I do know that it would have different layers of all my favourite ice cream flavours though. We’ll go with four different flavours.

7. Do you have any scars?
I do. The weirdest one is on my elbow and is from a zipper on an old couch, where a friend picked me up and dropped me on the couch. And I have one on my knee from rollerblading when I was little. Note: Don’t tie the dog’s leash around your waist and have her pull you along a pot-hole filled track. Also don’t do that if said dog is easily distracted by butterflies.

8. Does your pet’s name fit them? Is there a more appropriate name?
It’s a human name, but I think it fits her. I also call her “Stinker” and “Dogface” because well, she has HORRIBLE breath and well, she’s a dog with a face.

9. What is your favourite television show theme song?
I always find myself singing along to the theme song for The Big Bang Theory, so we’ll go with that. I also find the theme song for The Walking Dead creepishly wonderful.

10. What was your favourite activity on the playground?
I was a big fan of the swings and kickball. Least favourite? The tire swing or the merry-go-round. My elementary school actually took the merry-go-round out after one too many kids bailed off and hurt themselves. Motion sickness may have had something to do with that as well.

What was YOUR favourite playground activity?

Also – I get internet later on today (hopefully!) so I’ll be back blogging on a somewhat regular basis. New home tour coming soon! (As soon as there’s less mess!)

Silly American Thanksgiving being waaaaay in November ;) (Canadian Thanksgiving was over a month ago!) Let’s have us a little flashback, mmmkay?

1. What are you doing for Thanksgiving this year?
I went to my mom’s for dinner, which was wonderful because I have yet to cook a turkey for my family. I’m hoping to make this last as long as possible!

2. What are you most thankful for this year?
I am most thankful for my amazing husband. I seriously don’t know what I’d do without him. It’s been an amazing year (so far) because of him!

3. Do you have any traditions on Thanksgiving? The parade? Football? Long naps?
Usually there’s a hockey game on, so I’ll watch that. We don’t have any big traditions in my family though.

4. Is it called stuffing or dressing? Is it in the bird or a separate dish?
Oh, it’s definitely called stuffing! My mom makes it in the bird but usually makes a little extra and bakes it separately.

5. Do you cook?
See Question #1. Absolutely not.

6. What is your favourite dish?
Definitely my mom’s stuffing. And only my mom’s stuffing. (I hate stuffing with sausage in it and she doesn’t use it!)

7. What is your dessert preference?
Strawberry cheesecake. Or maybe pumpkin pie. I actually can’t remember the last time I had pumpkin pie.

8. What is your favourite Thanksgiving memory?
I don’t really have one, to be honest. This year’s was pretty awesome though.

9. Do you plan to shop on Black Friday?
We don’t really have a Black Friday here in Canada, but I would say no. I also don’t do Boxing Day shopping. Too much crazy for this gal!

10. What are you most dreading about Thanksgiving this year?
I dread nothing about Thanksgiving! Just wait until I have to cook my own turkey. Pandemonium will happen.
