Ten on Tuesday

1. Do you have an innie or an outie?

An innie, which I think may turn into an outie if/when I get pregnant.

2. What kind of milkshake do you order?

Mmm, chocolate! Or strawberry. Tasty!

3. How often do you repeat outfits at work?

All the time. I’m pretty sure I’m the youngest at the office, so I get the feeling no one really notices that I repeat outfits. Fashion is not a big deal there, except for a couple of co-workers.

4. What are your feelings about thank you notes?

I think they’re adorable and so thoughtful. I think if you take the effort to sit down and write out a card of thanks, you really mean it!

5. Do you like spicy food?

I like mildly spicy food. If I’m ordering food that has various levels of heat, I always go with mild. I get just enough to make my nose run a little!

6. How many toilet paper squares do you use?

Haha! I have no idea. Enough to comfortably do the job?

7. Were you in Girl Scouts?

Nope. They weren’t very big in my hometown growing up, so I was never signed up for it.

8. Notebooks/Journals: College ruled? Wide Ruled? No lines? Spiral Bound? Plain front? Decorative?

My notebooks for school were always spiral bound. I have no idea what kind of rule they had. I had a lot of Five Star, so whatever they are!

9. Do you snack throughout the day? What do you pack for snacks?

I used to snack all the time while I was working, and it was showing! Now I usually just pack a low-cal granola bar or a piece of fruit for my coffee breaks, but sometimes I’ll bring a little Tupperware of rice crackers just to nibble on.

10. What is your favourite month? Why?

May or June. May because it’s my birthday and June because it’s not too hot but not too cold. Perfect flip-flip, jeans and a t-shirt weather :)

Ten on Tuesday

1. What is your current favourite television show?

It’s summer, so all my REAL favourite shows aren’t on, but I’ve kind of been enjoying Rookie Blue. It’s a fairly decent Canadian show I think!

2. Apple juice or orange juice?

Apple juice, as long as it’s fresh pressed. I used to work for a place that grew apples and made their own fresh-pressed apple juice. It was so freaking good, like drinking an apple.

3. It’s Shark Week on Discover Channel. Do you watch? Why or why not?

No, because I never remember when it’s on and I’m usually too busy with work. *sigh*

4. What are the non-blog websites that you visit regularly?

Facebook and Twitter. (Those count, right?) I usually visit TheProvince.com when I’m at work too for news.

5. What is your favourite way to prepare green beans? Asparagus? Potatoes? Carrots?

Green Beans: Tossed with EVOO, garlic and a hint of black pepper then stir fried.
Asparagus: Steamed.
Potatoes: Anyway!
Carrots: Boiled.

6. What is your favourite flower?

Gerbera daisies, for sure. They’re so pretty!

7. How do you feel about handkerchiefs?

Gross. Why could you want a ball of snot accumulating in your pocket?

8. If you could only shop at 3 stores for the rest of your life, what would they be? (You probably should include a grocery store.)

Costco, Wal-Mart and Save On.

9. If you could only use wine for one purpose for the rest of your life, which would you choose? To cook with or to drink?

To cook with. I’m not a wine drinker, but I’ve cooked with it in the past.

10. What’s your bedtime?

Usually around 11:00 p.m.

Ten on Tuesday

1. How do you take your coffee on an average day? How do you like your coffee if you’re spluging?

I take it in a giant mug with two tablespoons of sugar and loads of  International Delight creamo (Vanilla Toffee Caramel!) Sometimes I think it’s the sugar that’s driving me through the day, not the caffeine! If I’m splurging, I’ll grab a grande vanilla latte or caramel macchiato (iced or hot) from Starbucks.

2. What is your genre of books to read?

I read a lot of chick-lit, followed by the un-lifelike romantic happenings of Nicholas Sparks. I’m not into much else.

3. Where do you want to retire, if you could go anywhere?

I’ll pick something stereotypical, like Palm Springs. That’s where my great grandparents went and they loved it.

4. The 17-year-old you is told to write a 10-minute speech. What topic would you have picked?

“Why You Should Not Fall In Love With Fictional Vampires”

5. What word describes you best?

Ninja. (I really have no idea. I’m horrible at describing myself.)

6. What is the next “event” that you are looking forward to? (ex.: vacation, moving, date, job change, etc)

I’m going camping in a couple weeks so I’m stoked on that, and then I’m MOOOOVINNNGGG! :D

7. Do you like to discuss controversial topics or do you prefer to avoid those types of conversations?

It depends on who I’m talking to. I don’t mind about talking about controversial topics, but if a person can’t accept my point of view and only sees their own as the “right” way, I can’t handle it. I’m very much a “both sides of the spectrum” sort of person.

8. Would you rather add 4 free hours to each day, or add 1 extra day to the week?

As long as it was a day where I don’t have to work, I’d take the 1 extra day. I kill for days off.

9. If you created a sports team; what would your colors and mascot be?

It would be called the Karasaurus’. The mascot would maybe be a T-Rex or a velicoraptor, and the colours would be green and yellow. Rawr!

10. If you had to be a teacher, what subject would you teach?

Spelling and Grammar 101. Or something along the lines of that. I’d teach kids how annoying it is when you can’t understand what they’re writing on the Internet. “U r so fking awesum. wnt 2 d8? omg, wtf?” Yeah, I’m not down with cryptic words.
