Ten on Tuesday

1. Growing up, what was one favourite item that you had to have with you at all times?

I really don’t think there was something that I had to have with me at all times. I know when I was little I had a Mickey Mouse doll that I always went to bed with, but as far as an item that I had to take everywhere, I don’t think there was one! I’ll have to ask my parents I guess.

2. Being an adult, what is one favourite item that you have to have with you at all times, and what happens if you do not have it with you? Do you lose your sanity or just go back home to get it?

I hate to say it, but I feel a little lost when I don’t have my cellphone with me. I usually don’t realize it’s missing until I go to use it, but it’s not something that I’ll drop everything for and rush home to find it. People don’t call or text me enough for me to care.

3. Where is your favourite place to be to just hide away from everything and breathe for a moment?

It used to be my bedroom. I’d hide in my room and watch TV when I needed my personal space, but now that there’s no TV in there, I don’t know! Maybe I’ll start reading in my room more often.

4. What is your favourite thing about your partner? (If you don’t have a partner, then someone who is very close and will always be in your life)

He always has my back, even if he doesn’t get me sometimes. It sounds cheesy, but I’m sure he’d give me the moon if he could.

5. What is your favourite thing about your job? (If you don’t have a job, then what is your favorite thing that you do during your day?)

That it has helped me land freelance work.

6. What is your favourite lesson that your parents taught you growing up? Looking back, is it something that you want to use to teach your children when they reach that age?

“Treat others the way you want to be treated,” and yes, I will tell my children that as well.

7. What is your favourite song, that will always bring a smile to your face and make you think of something happy?

“Why Do Birds” by Karen Carpenter. It sounds ridiculous, but it has amazing memories.

8. What is your favourite things about being an American? (If you not American, what are you proud of in regards to your country)

That in general, we’re friendly people. (I’m Canadian!) And we have some wicked-awesome hockey players.

9. What is your favourite meal that reminds you of being a child?

My grandma’s macaroni and cheese with a side of Shake n’ Bake chicken drumettes. (She still makes them for me too!)

10. Name 3 things that other people would say are their favourite thing about you.

  1. Honest
  2. Funny
  3. Loyal

Happy Tuesday!

I help my BFF’s hand during a bikini waxing session. That was the worst pain I’ve ever witnessed someone go through voluntarily!

3. What cleaning supply could you not live without?

Just a good ‘ol bottle of dish soap. I use Dawn because they donate proceeds towards saving cute little animals :)

4. How long do you plan on living where you currently reside?

Three years at least! Then it may be time to upgrade to something bigger.

Is it bad that I idea what this question means? I’ll say a mixture …

Exercising. There’s always a hundred other things that have to be done that’s more important. Right now it’s work.

7. What’s your favourite store to buy things for other people?

It depends on who I’m buying for! For the guys it’s a tool store, for the girls, it varies! I do really love shopping in Urban Barn. They’re stuff is SO nice, but freaking expensive!

8. What’s the weather like around you today?

On Monday as I write this I think it’s best to let the Family Guy’s Ollie Williams describe the weather:

9. What’s the worst book you’ve ever bought and read?

I can’t say I’ve bought a bad book and read it. I’m too picky, and I always judge a book by its cover.

10. What’s the closest thing to you that is yellow?

The cover of “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo” (Also the first book I decided not to judge by its cover!)

Ten on Tuesday

After Chelsea had a well deserved week hiatus, we’re back this week with ToT!

1. Favourite way to travel (plane, train, automobile, etc.)

I don’t mind travelling by car, but I do enjoy a good plane ride! I just wish it wasn’t so freaking expensive.

2. Where’s your favourite place to travel to that you’ve been to?

Vancouver. I love the busyness of the city, the food, the shopping, the scene. But it gets annoying in a hurry, so I love coming back to my (much) smaller city.

3. Where’s the place that you want to go but have never been?

China. Most definitely.

4. Do you deal with traffic well?

Usually. Unless people are cutting me off. Then I go crazy. People are horrible drivers sometimes!

5. Ever had an emergency while traveling?

Other than getting lost and really, REALLY having to go pee, no. (For the record, no, I didn’t pee myself.)

6. Do you have a passport? What countries have you been to?

No :( One day I’ll get one! I’ve only been to the US, and that was before you needed a passport to travel. I didn’t even have a form of ID.

7. Are you’ve light packer or do you pack everything but the kitchen sink?

I don’t pack the bare minimum, but I don’t overdo it. Usually I’ll pack and extra one of everything clothes related, and that’s that.

8. Do you take the fastest route or the road less traveled?

For the most part, the fastest route, but going the road less travelled can be lots of fun.

9. Do any activities on the road? (like road games, reading, sleeping, etc. )

Nope. I’m usually the driver. If I’m the passenger I can’t do anything but listen to music or sleep because I get motion sickness. Awesome.

10. Use a paper map or GPS?

GPS all the way! I love mine, her name is Milly :)
