Ten on Tuesday

1. What’s the perfect meal?

Something filling and delicious, enjoyed with close friends and family!

2. What are the perfect pair of shoes?

Shoes that look sexy but don’t hurt like hell after 5 minutes of wearing them. I really don’t think they exist, lol. But, if I have to pick a pair, I’d say flip-flops. My feet need to breathe. If it weren’t for cold weather, I’d wear them all the time.

3. What is the perfect afternoon?

My perfect afternoon would be spent sitting outside reading. I love to relax.

4. What’s the perfect house?

There are tons of things that you can fill your house with to make it aesthetically perfect, but for me, just having a house feel like a home is perfect enough for me :)

5. What is the perfect outfit?

I could probably live in sleeveless tops if I could (again, cold weather!) But, the things I enjoy wearing most are jeans, sweaters, and comfy tops. Hello cotton!

6. What’s the perfect wedding song?

I think everyone has their own idea of the perfect wedding song. For me, it was the song I walked down the aisle to: “Marry Me” by Train. Seriously. The first time I heard it I bawled my eyes out. How I didn’t cry when I was walking down the aisle baffles my mind.

7. What is the perfect job?

One that’s both emotionally and financially satisfying. Come on, you know we all want a a job that pays well, and having one you enjoy is a given. I’m still searching for my perfect job …

8. What’s the perfect hairstyle?

Something manageable. I’ve been toying with the idea of chopping all my hair off again, but that means I’ll actually have to use products and blow-dry it all the time. Ugh. We’ll see.

9. What’s the perfect music festival?

I’ve never really been to a music festival, unless the Music in the Park that they have on Canada Day counts. I’m going to say it does. But really, I just enjoy cool, funky music. As long as you enjoy it, any music fest is perfect.

10. What’s the perfect day to yourself?

I really enjoy just relaxing, so a perfect day to myself would be reading, eating good food and enjoying the quiet. Luckily, I get a lot of those kind of days!

1. How do you pronounce the word aunt? Does your pronunciation rhyme with ‘haunt’ or ‘can’t’?

I can’t, I can’t, understand my aunt! (I just made that up just now!)  I pronounce it like the insect. :)

2. Do most of the people in your life know you blog? Or are you partially or totally anonymous?

I think a few of people know I have a blog, but only a couple actually read it. I keep my blogging on the down-lo.

3. When you grocery shop, do you prefer to bag your own groceries or do you like it when the store bags them for you? Paper, plastic, or reusable bags?

At the store I work at, we bag the groceries for you. A lot of tourists find this fantastic, so I guess it’s not the norm in some places? I prefer not to have to bag my own groceries, but since I’m an “expert” I don’t mind doing it since I know how to do it properly, lol

4. Do you have a green thumb?

Not really! Kyle’s constantly reminding me to water my plants, both indoors and outdoors. I’d love to try and grow a garden one day though. Fresh produce is my favourite.

5. If you watch the Food Network, which chef/show host is your favorite?

I haven’t watched the Food Network in ages, but I loved watching Rachel Ray and Iron Chef (both the original and the American version). I’d love to be a food judge on Iron Chef! The Food Network always makes me sooo hungry, lol.

6. Do you like to take baths? Do you take them very often?

I don’t take them very often, no. I find I just get too warm and sweat. Kinda defeats the purpose of taking a bath.

7. What color are the walls in your kitchen?

Boring white. We have a navy blue tile back splash though, and it looks pretty nice.

8. Do you prefer to dine outdoors or indoors?

We had dinner out on our new patio set on the weekend, and it was fabulous! In the summer (as long as there’s no mosquitoes) I love eating outside.

9. Describe your ideal weather.

Sunny with a nice, cool breeze. I get too warm so easily, a breeze is always appreciated.

10. If you could learn any foreign language, which would you choose to learn?

Chinese, without a question. Do I have to explain why?

1. What type of phone do you have? Do you like it?

I have an HTC Desire Z and I love it! It pretty much does everything an iPhone does, without all the hype. (Sorry iPhone people)

2. How old were you when you got your first cell phone?

I was in Grade 12, so I think I was 17 when I got it. It was a Kyocera something-or-other on a Pay as You Go plan.

3. How many cell phones have you owned since your first?

I think maybe six? The Kyocera, a flip-phone, a slider, the Double-Flip, the Rumour, and the the Desire Z. I may be missing one.

4. How much is your average monthly phone bill?

About $85. Not too bad, really. I got a smokin’ deal on a Fab 10 plan!

5. When you were a kid/teenager, were you allowed to have a phone in your room?

Well, it would’ve involved having to install a line into my room, so no. There was one right around the corner from my room, so I always used that one.

6. Do you like talking on the phone or do you despise it? Or somewhere in-between?

It depends on what I need to accomplish. If I need details or information instantly, I’m a phone person. If it’s no rush, text or email.

7. Do you text a lot? Is texting/talking while driving illegal where you live? Are you guilty of it anyway?

I wouldn’t say I’m a text-a-holic, but I do use texting as one of my go-to ways on communicating with friends. It’s illegal to text and talk on your cell while driving in B.C., so I don’t do it! (Ever, I swear!)

8. What sort of texting keyboard does your phone have? Touch screen, slide out, or something different? Do you care?

I have  a touchscreen phone with a slide-out keyboard. It’s brilliant! I don’t know if I could do full-on touchscreen. The auto-correct function irritates me.

9. Look at the last call in your call log – who is it? What were they calling about? Who calls you the most?

It was from my Dad in regards to a missing gift card. We found it though! My dad definitely calls my cell the most.

10. What is the longest phone call you can recall having?

On my cell? I have no idea. On a regular land-line phone? Probably a couple hours while I was in high school. Ah, to be young again :)
