Canada Day at a Glance

I hope everyone had/is having a great long weekend! I know that everyone in the US is observing the July 4th holiday today, so I just thought I’d share a few photos I snapped with my camera phone on Canada Day. I forgot my camera at home, so I didn’t get a lot of shots :(

These first few photos are from the multi-cultural food fare that they have every year. The longest line, of course, was the one I chose to stand in, for Filipino food:

The wait for delicious food!

The wait? Completely worth it! For $10 I got a spring roll, a BBQ beef skewer and a huge pile of noodles! (I can’t remember what it was actually called)

So much food! I barely finished it all!

There was tons of local artists and artisans, music, and just good times. It was great spending some time with my family, even though the weather was kinda lame.

I’m back to work today, so all you American readers enjoy your day off! (I’m jealous!)

Happy Monday!

Happy Canada Day!

It’s Canada Day today, which means good times and celebrations! I didn’t really have a post lined up for today, but here’s a few little reasons why I love Canada:

  • For the most part, we’re ridiculously friendly
  • You just gotta love our scenery. I mean, if you drive across the country there’s oceans, mountains, glaciers, tundra’s, prairies and more. You can’t get more diverse than that!
  • HEALTHCARE! Thank you for re-locating my shoulder pro-bono!
  • Poutine. Cheese curds, gravy and fries – Oh my! So go!
  • Our freedom.
  • And this:
