Happy Monday, beauties! The forecast is calling for rain, but as I look out the window this Monday morning I can see the sun trying to punch through the clouds. Lets hope it succeeds and keeps the weekend’s weather going! Here’s what we got up to:

{Friday}
Kyle picked up an overtime shift at work but since we only had plans in the evening it worked out okay! I walked Isla to school in the morning with Norah in the stroller and Norah and I hung out at home for most of the day. I had a ton of homework to do, so she played/watched cartoons while I did that.

In the afternoon we walked to get Isla from school and they played on the playground for a little bit so Norah could get some of her pent up energy out.

We had friends come over for dinner and then after the girls went to bed we battled it out on the SNES Classic with a little Mario Kart and Super Mario World.

{Saturday}
Saturday was probably the most busy/productive day of the weekend!

I played two games of slo-pitch for our neighbour’s team, one at 8am and the other at 2pm. I was fortunate enough to help the team bring in a couple of wins, and during my 2nd game Kyle had taken the girls to his mom’s to stay the night so we could have an early birthday celebration for me! We went for an amazing dinner and then went for a lovely walk along the trail near our house. It was simple but perfect. We got a little adulting in too and went and bought groceries at 8:30pm too. #keepinitreal ;)

 

{Sunday}
Since the girls were away I got to sleep in until 7AM!! I’m sure that still seems early to some people, but when Norah is awake and ready to party by 6am most days, sleeping until 7 was certainly a treat! Kyle and I enjoyed our coffee in the morning, and then I headed out to a free yoga class courtesy of our local lululemon store. It’s been so long since I’ve done a class, but it was a nice, easy flow class and it was super relaxing! (Perfect after a busy Saturday!)

After class I picked up the girls and headed home as we had Kyle’s aunt & uncle over for lunch. They surprised me with a little birthday cake and present, and we had a lovely afternoon visit!

We were so full from lunch that we just made grilled cheese sandwiches and soup for dinner, and the girls went to bed early since they were wiped from such a busy weekend.

I think that’s about all we got up to! Today is my birthday (!) and I’m enjoying a nice, quiet(ish) day! I even slept until my alarm went off instead of being woken up by Norah. Can’t beat that ;)
