Ten on Tuesday

1. What are your pantry staples?
Pasta in various forms (I always have rotini and a long skinny noodle like spaghetti or linguine) and rice. Gotta have my starchy carbs!

2. What are your refrigerator staples?
Juice, always. I try to keep a jar of pasta sauce in there too to go along with my pantry staples.

3. You already look like Heidi Klum (or your favorite supermodel). Now, what are the top three non-physical things you would change about yourself?
Better public speaking skills (a.k.a., I will no long go red and break out into a nervous sweat), I’d be more thrifty and I’d be dirrrrty rich! (Come on, who wouldn’t like more money?)

4. What’s holding you back from your dream job? (If you already have your dream job, how did you get there?)
Lack of movement within the company and lack of experience. I know one day I’ll get there though!

5. You have $500 to spend but it has to be on one item only. Go.
Kitchen table. Easy.

6. What is something that you are embarrassed to admit you buy on a regular basis?
I don’t think there’s anything I buy on a regular basis that’s embarrassing. I’ve made a couple of non-regular purchases recently that are awkward, but I shall not mention them because they’re a secret. Oh – I did start buying Proactive (you know, that skin-care line that celebrities hawk?). I’m still up in the air on whether or not it’s actually working though. My hormones are too much of a mess right now to tell.

7. What’s in/on your bed every night?
Other than myself, that’s about it. Daphne sleeps on the bed when Kyle’s not home, but don’t tell Kyle that ;)

8. What is a non-necessity item that, no matter how expensive it gets or how tight your budget if, you will always find room for it?
Costco membership. Always. It’s like, $60/year for a basic membership and buying in bulk saves SO MUCH MONEY. I love Costco to pieces.

9. What is the weirdest sandwich you’ve ever made?
When I was little I would make butter and Nestle chocolate milk powder sandwiches. Gross, right? What the hell was I thinking?

10. Would you rather: Be banned from Pinterest forever, but gain a million captive Twitter followers; or, never get on Facebook again but gain five thousand blog readers?
Oh the popularity! I guess I’ll go with being banned from Pinterest, because at least I can still Google stuff. That’s the way we did it before Pinterest, right? Right!

What are your household pantry or fridge staples? Do you have a Costco membership? (Or something similar?)

Ten on Tuesday

1. What’s your favorite television show  for each day of the week?
Edited because I can’t read questions properly …
Sunday – Walking Dead
Monday – Canada’s Worst Driver
Tuesday – Glee
Wednesday – America’s Next Top Model
Thursday – Big Bang Theory, Grey’s, Private Practice (Can’t pick just one!)
Friday – No idea
Saturday – Again, no idea.

I usually record most of these shows though and watch them whenever I have time, on no particular day.

2. How many times do you wear your jeans before you watch them?
It depends on the pair of jeans. I have a pair that I’ll only wear once because they “bag” out and look horrible after a few hours. Another pair I’ll wear at least four times before I toss them in the wash.

3. What is your favourite pasta shape?
I quite enjoy bow-tie pasta, especially in a pasta salad. I like shell pasta too since it traps all the goodness in its shell.

4. Do you read newspapers?
I do actually. Even before I started working at one, I read the paper daily. I even had a subscription to the local daily before I started working there an got it delivered for free. It never hurts to know what’s going on in the city you live in.

5. Do you sleep in socks?
Ugh, no. Unless I’m super sick with the chills and I just can’t get warm. I can’t stand sleeping with socks on otherwise.

6. Favourite genre of movies?
Looking at my DVD collection, I would think it’s safe to say that I watch a lot of action movies, so we’ll go with action.

7. How do you feel about wrestling?
Depends on the form. MMA/UFC? I enjoy it. WWF? Not so much.

8. Should men pluck their eyebrows?
Only if they have a wicked unibrow, and even then, it should be barely noticeable.

9. Do you have dimples?
No.

10. Do you like to camp?
I do, as long as I have mosquito repellent in the form of coils or what not. The spray works, but it feels so gross! I haaaaate mosquito bites! (Who doesn’t though?)

Do you read a newspaper? (No, the National Enquirer doesn’t count!)

Ten on Tuesday

1. What is your favourite month?
I would like to say May, because that’s when my birthday is. Greedy, but whatever!

2. What is the best candy to get while trick or treating?
I really like Three Musketeer bars, but I don’t think you can get there here in Halloween size.

3. What kind of pen do you use?
Usually just a ballpoint, usually blue ink.

4. You go to a new Italian restaurant, what is your go-to order?
Something with pasta, probably something with seafood, like shrimp. Or maybe a cheese ravioli. Mmm, pasta!

5. If you could choose to have any celebrity’s hair, who’s would you choose?
I really don’t know. I do love Zooey Deschanel’s hair. I’ll go with that. I don’ thave much for “hairsperation.”

6. What’s your favourite board game?
Pictionary!

7. Do you know how to play poker?
Not at all. I play good, shitty poker and only know what hands I have if I have a little chart telling what the different hands are.

8. What do you think about Old Navy commercials?
They make me want to stab children in the face.

9. What hurts worse- a stubbed toe or a paper cut?
Paper cut, for sure. At least stubbed tow pain goes away shortly. Paper cuts last for daaaaays!

10. What’s your favorite kind of pie?
It’s a toss-up between cherry or rhubard-strawberry. OMG pie. I want.
