Five Years

“So tonight I’ll ask the stars above,
How did I ever win your love?
What did I do? What did I say,
To turn your angel eyes my way?”

Today marks five years since we took this stroll down the aisle as husband and wife. Five! It seems like just yesterday that we were a couple of teenagers driving around in your car because there was nothing else to do, and now look at us – kids! Dogs! Houses! While we grew up together we’ve also grown together. We strengthen each other weaknesses and make the other one a better person.

There really aren’t enough words in the dictionary to describe how lucky I feel to be married to the most incredible man in my life. All I can say is that the past five years have been the most rewarding ones that we’ve spent together, and I cannot wait to see what the future brings to us.

I love you, my dear. Happy 5th Anniversary!!

Lucky 13

Today marks Kyle and I’s 13th “dativersary” and I cannot believe we’ve been together for 13 years! It may be an unlucky number, but I’m so fortunate to be with such an amazing guy.

I’ve created many lists in the past to honour our relationship, so this year to mark our dating anniversary I thought I’d share a photo from every year we’ve been together. It’s pretty hilarious to see how much we’ve changed over the years!

So there you go! Proms, kids, weddings, vacations, you name it, we’ve been through it all!

I love you, Kyle! Here’s to 13 more!

Four years

It’s amazing to think that four years have passed since Kyle and I tied the knot! We’ve grown and learned so much all the years we’ve been together. There’s been a bit of this:

We’ve been through a lot during our fourth year of marriage, from family members passing to miscarriages to the “usual” marital spats about petty things, but we’ve always managed to pull through. The good days outnumber the bad, and for that I am truly grateful. We’ve been able to laugh and be in love with each other and our growing little family.

I love the fact that I can honestly say that I married my best friend. He’s my voice of reason, my rock, my person. It’s safe to say that I’d be a little more than lost if I didn’t have him in my life. As cheesy as it sounds, Kyle completes me, and I like to think I do the same for him. If anything, he’s my calculator and I’m his spell-check.

Happy Anniversary, my love, and here’s to many, many more <3
