Product Review: LashBlast

Disclaimer: I received a sample of this product for free in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

I’m a simpleton when it comes to make-up. My daily routine consists of concealer and mascara, that’s it, that’s all, no more! Unless I’m going out to a special event, I don’t use eyeshadow or anything like that. With a baby grabbing at your face, make-up just gets everywhere you don’t want it to be. I will admit though, I struggle the most with my eyelashes. They’re short and stick straight out – a curler is needed so they don’t stick together after I put mascara on.

20150924_091635 Enter the CoverGirl LashBlast mascara collection!

I’ve been a fan of CG products for a while now, so I was excited to try out their volumizing mascara courtesy of BzzAgent to see if it would help give my lashes a little boost.

All the mascaras in the LastBlast collection have the best wand, in my opinion. The silicone brushes make applying mascara super easy and I didn’t have any issues with clumps. (Which is great because clumps + Contact lenses = Painful chunks in your eyes.)

Other than the brush and lack of clumps, I didn’t really find any difference in volume. My lashes didn’t seem fuller, just more defined due to the black mascara and them being curled.

Would I buy this product again? Probably not, but I would definitely try a different variety from the CG LashBlast line. My biggest issue is length, so I may try the LastBlast Fusion next, which claims to provide volume AND length. I’d also like to try the water resistant variety since my eyes get watery from time to time and no one likes looking like a raccoon ;)

What’s your daily face routine? Are you a simpleton like me, or do you do a bit more?

  1. I try to put on a bit of make-up in the mornings now … Usually a primer, foundation, blush, and eye shadow if I have time. I’m still learning how to apply makeup – thank goodness for YouTube and Pinterest!
